  approximately 400-600 EUR/month – awarded on the competitive basis depending on research performance (publications). Very few available for the first year. None offered to non-EU citizens

Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of ETI   prepare graduate students for careers in research, teaching, and as experts in the public and private sectors in of the following areas: Control Engineering and Robotics, Biocybernetics and Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics. This goal is achieved vie guided study and research and seminars. The doctor of philosophy in a chosen academic area is obtained after   submitting and defending a   doctoral thesis an passing doctoral exams.

Program of study:  from 32 to 45 ECTS has to be earned in 8 semesters:

  • obligatory curses, and seminars
  • complementary subjects and soft-skills courses and workshops
  • specialist courses related to the topic doctoral thesis,
  • teaching classes from the first year of study,
  • research work;

Scientific and research internships and scientific conferences for PhD students - POWER 3.5 project We are reminding all our PhD students of the possibility of going on three-month scientific and research internships, including renting a flat and participating in a scientific conference of their choice.

Dear PhD Students,

Documents regarding participation in POWER 3.5 project offering PhD students extra activities within their doctoral programme (e.g. lectures with international visiting professors, soft-skills courses, summer schools, task scholarships, as well as co-financing of internships and scientific conferences) are now available also in English. They can be downloaded from the project website.

In order to take advantage of the project activities, they should be filled in and signed, and then passed to the Project Office. We will keep you informed about current activities in the news section on the website of Scientific Affairs Office and its newsletter. Please make sure that you have read about scientific and research internships and scientific conferences for PhD students.

The Integrated Development Program of the Gdańsk University of Technology has started on April 1, 2018 and will last until March 31, 2022. The financial support comes from the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development for 2014-2020
