Workshops on coping with stress for international students | Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics at the Gdańsk University of Technology

The beginning of the academic year is not easy, especially for international students, who have to adapt themselves not only to the university, but also to a completely new country. There are issues to deal with other than dormitory and timetable - starting from formalities related to the legalization of stay in Poland, ending with opening a bank account and purchasing a mobile phone with a Polish number. It can cause a lot of stress...

That is why we invite you - newly admitted international students (Polish and English-speaking) to workshops, during which you will learn what to do (and what not to do) in stressful situations related to studies📚, work 👩‍💻 and relationships with other people👥. As a result, it will be a little easier for you to start your first days in a new place😉.

The next recruitment will be conducted from September 21st to October 10th via the online form (red button below). The number of places is limited. Before signing up, please read the terms&conditions. Additionally, please remember - if for some reason you have to resign from participation in classes, write to us at international@pg.edu.pl (maybe someone else will use this place🙂).

When will the classes be conducted?

By signing up for workshops you choose one of two groups: Polish or English-speaking:

- group I (Polish-speaking): Monday, October 17th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
- group II (English-speaking): Monday, October 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. 

Where will the classes be conducted?

For classes, we invite you to building no. 11 of Hydromechanics (see the map) in the room, next to the Gdańsk Tech gadget shop. The entrance to the room will be from the building of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering (look for information boards in front of the entrance and please - do not try to enter the room through the shop😉). 

Who can sign up for classes?

The classes are aimed at newly admitted international students (if you started your studies at Gdańsk Tech in October 2022, these classes are for you). It doesn’t matter whether you study in Polish or English, and whether you pay the fee or study free of charge🙂.
