Workshops on cultural differences for international students

warsztaty z różnic

Do you feel not entirely comfortable in Poland🤔? Are you a little surprised by Polish culture and therefore you don't always get along with students and lecturers from Poland? Maybe this applies not only to Polish culture but sometimes you have problems with getting along with students from other countries🤔? For example, in a dormitory or during classes at the university?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, we invite you to workshops, during which you will learn more about Polish culture (and not only) and learn how to deal with culture shock related to arrival in a new country. You will see that a lot of questions will be answered after these workshops and you will look at people from different cultures in a completely different way (with greater understanding)😉.

Additionally, please remember - if for some reason you have to resign from participation in classes, write to us at international@pg.edu.pl (maybe someone else will use this place).

When will the classes be conducted?

By signing up for workshops you choose one of two groups: Polish or English-speaking:

- group I (Polish-speaking):
Monday, October 24th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Tuesday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Where will the classes be conducted?

For classes, we invite you to building no. 11 of Hydromechanics (see the map) in the room, next to the Gdańsk Tech gadget shop. The entrance to the room will be from the building of the Faculty of Electrical and Control Engineering (look for information boards in front of the entrance and please - do not try to enter the room through the shop😉). We provide small catering so you won't be hungry😉🥗.

Who can sign up for classes?

We invite international students🌏🌍🌎 of Gdańsk University of Technology to workshops on cultural differences. If you are not from Poland, you do not have Polish citizenship and you study at Gdańsk University of Technology (it does not matter whether you pay the fee or study free of charge; whether you study in Polish or English), it means that you are an international student and you can sign up for the workshops🙂.
