Computer Networks graduate profile
Graduates of the Computer Networks specialization are highly trained professionals capable of under-standing, maintaining, and designing real-world computer communication systems, with a thorough knowledge of wired and wireless network technology and protocols, and prepared to put it to good use in the development of modern IT services and web-based application. They are prepared to administer operating systems deployed in various classes of network systems – from high-performance fixed-infrastructure facilities to mobile personal communication devices utilizing wireless. Solid background in the principles of computer communications and awareness of ongoing work in the field enables them to quickly grasp new ideas and come up with creative solutions.
The primary and additional courses taught within the specialization arm the graduate with the necessary knowledge and skills related to communication software, logical network architectures, design and de-ployment of LAN/MAN/WAN networks, their management and administration. Through their constantly updated curricula, covering current standards, solutions, and evaluation methods, the courses will have created in the graduating student a habit of following and instantly applying the advances in networking technology.
