The Non-Relational Databases course is offered as part of the Databases profile of first-cycle computer science studies. This course is a foundational course in the design and implementation of NoSQL databases and consists of 15 hours of lectures and 30 hours of laboratory work. The course is conducted in a workshop format. The following activities are included in the course:
- An introductory lecture on issues related to NoSQL databases and
- Four thematic blocks, each in a workshop format:
- MongoDB as an example of document
- Key-value databases using Redis as an example
- Neo4J as an example of graph databases
