Lecture
The aim of this course is to familiarize students with the basics of operating system design and advanced aspects of their use. The knowledge gained in this course is essential for IT professionals to successfully develop advanced IT products. Topics covered include:
- operating system architecture,
- processes management,
- memory management,
- disk management,
- operating system shell,
- security issues.
Laboratory
During the lab, students will become familiar with the Linux operating system's shell language. This open and free operating system allows for practical application of knowledge acquired during lectures. The main task is to implement a shell language program based on the system's available tools. Part of the course will also be devoted to advanced Windows operations.
