 Department of Intelligent Interactive Systems (DIIS) is one of severals cornerstones of Computer Science at the Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informatics with focus on such areas as proactive documents, virtual collaboration, intelligent acquisition and exploration of information, computer vision, visualization of information and phenomena, machine learning, biometrics, affective computing, video game engineering and other driving factors of a rapid growth of the information society of the 21st Century.

DIIS has been actively cooperating for many years with Polish and European institutions - in international R&D consortia formed under EU Programs and bilateral cooperation agreements, in national projects funded by Polish Ministry of Science and Highier Education, the National Science Center, the National Centre for Research and Development, and regional projects funded by the European Regional Development Fund, including research, development, Ph.D. and special grants, as well as educational projects aimed at introducing international academic quality standards to the education process at the Faculty.
