Didactical activity of the Department is closely connected with main stream of scientific activities of Department staff and our graduates poses knowledge of solving technical problems which must consider existence of telecommunication services market. During courses student obtain knowledge and skills regarding telecommunication traffic and design of networks with quality of service guarantees, design of teleinformation services and telecommunications project management. The programs of Teleinformation Networks profile and Teleinformation Network and Systems specialisation take  into consideration demands of service and information providers, telecommunication operators of stationary and mobile networks, planning offices, and companies producing telecommunication and teleinformation equipment.

The students obtain knowledge about global information infrastructure, especially architecture and functions of multiservice teleinformation networks and their nodes, technologies of optical systems for information transport, algorithms of processing digital signals transferring information, systems of data transmission, methods of protection information from natural and purposeful disturbances, methods for guaranteeing protection of transferred and stored information from unauthorized access, methods of creation reliable structures of teleinformation networks, concepts and systems of circuit, packet and cell switching particularly taking into consideration the IP technology.
