The Microelectronic Systems specialization provides knowledge and skills related to synthesis, design and implementation of analog and digital integrated circuits. We concentrate on teaching of modern methods and algorithms used for development of modern Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC), Very Large Scale Integrated Circuits (VLSI) and the systems based on Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) technologies.
Students gain unique knowledge on micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS), as well as integrated circuits (IC) for computer networks and wireless systems. Furthermore, they learn specific techniques related to design of continuous-time integrated filters, or microelectronic embedded systems. Moreover, they are familiarized with development of software/hardware solutions for microprocessors, digital signal processors and specialized processors.
Our graduate students are equipped with detailed knowledge in the fields concerning design and implementation of highly integrated microelectronic components along with their specialized software. The unique set of skills makes them well prepared to work in international research and development centers, as well as scientific institutions.
